French embossed ornate floral style panel. Seen being prepared for tone acid by using a hand cut stencil. the final result is a three tone acid design

These panels use a deep acid technique. A Hand cut stencil is taken from a paper detail of the original etched glass panel (the same process as brass rubbings). Acid is then applied to the glass to produce the designs. Finally, a hand ground finish is applied to the background.
